You may know that play is important to kids. But do you know why? Have you ever had trouble explaining to parents why you do what you do? This training is designed for the student counselor and seasoned play therapist to understand the importance of play from neuroscience and developmental perspectives. After this workshop, you will employ play therapy with a new mindset! Learning Objectives: 1) Participants will identify the research and importance of play. 2) Participants will describe the concepts of the neuroscience of play. 3) Participants will define play and its developmental impact on children.
